KINGSWOOD CLEAN UP DAY We are looking forward to another successful clean up event for 2016!
Please let your friends and neighbors in Kingswood know and encourage them to participate. The more people we have participating, the more litter we can clean up!! SCHEDULE OF EVENTS: Saturday,
May 14 – 9:00 am to 1:00 pm CLEAN UP: •Garbage/recycle bags and gloves will be available for pick up at: •52 Diana Drive in Kingswood beginning 8:00 a.m. •Litter and recycle drop off

If possible, please drop off your litter/recyclables at this location. •Alternatively you can leave the bags on the side of the road for pick up and advise us of the location. •Water and juice will be provided during the clean up for participants. •During the clean up participants can request additional supplies and advise where litter-garbage has been left for pick up by calling or texting Paul at 902-809-7285.
POST CLEAN UP PARTY: Join us for Pizza at the Long Lake Park following the Clean Up.
NOTES: IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ
•HRM does not pick up tires, propane cylinders or hazardous waste.
•Please respect the spirit of this effort i.e. cleaning up the roadside. No household or personal garbage please.
•Recyclables should be put in recycle plastic bags (provided).
•Please wear reflective vests or bright clothing to ensure visibility and safety.
•DO NOT attempt to pick up dangerous materials such as glass, needles, jagged metal, etc. Contact the event organizers to arrange for pick up.
•We are hoping for a sunny day but suggest you monitor the weather and dress accordingly.
•Be aware and considerate of community traffic flow keeping to road shoulders.
•HRM will pick up all the litter dropped at the park at 1:00 p.m. Please do not deposit anything after 1:00 p.m. at the playground site.
Construction is scheduled to begin on our new ball hockey, basket ball court at #10 Kingswood Park the week of May 9th. Please be advised that this will cause some disruption to normal park use during construction and cause some congestion around the mailboxes. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Note, requests for repairs, maintenance, and improvements to parks, playgrounds, sports fields, streets, street signs/lights, and storm/waste water should be made to 311.
As a reminder to residents, pet waste must be scooped/bagged and disposed in the proper manner. In addition, pet waste bags should never be disposed on our trails, streets, ditches, and woods.
